Passing of Jim Morrison, CEO of LIT San Leandro

We were saddened by the news of the passing of Jim Morrison, CEO of LIT San Leandro.  Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Here is the press release sent out by LIT San Leandro:

We at Lit San Leandro are sad to share news of the passing of our Chief Executive Officer, Jim Morrison, this past weekend. Morrison, 54, an avid outdoorsman, was out hiking when he suddenly collapsed and died.

A native of Michigan, Morrison served as CEO to Lit San Leandro for the last 3 years. “Jim was quick with a handshake and a smile,” said Pat Kennedy, founder of Lit San Leandro. “He was a versatile executive with a broad range of skills. His experience with sales, design, implementation and management of voice and data communication systems made him a good fit for our network.”

“Jim Morrison was an Eagle Scout in deed and as a person,” said Chris Zapata, San Leandro’s City Manager. “His work on the implementation and management of our high speed fiber partnership, Lit San Leandro, was integral as our community pivots toward 21st century business and educational innovation.”

He is survived by his wife and son. Services will be held in midMarch.
